Bot Detection Preventing Statistics Increment and Automation Execution.

Modified on: Tue, 23 Jul, 2024 at 7:44 AM

Overview

Accurate email marketing metrics are essential for understanding customer engagement and campaign effectiveness. However, bots can artificially inflate your open and click rates, leading to skewed data. To address this, we’ve introduced the Bot Detection Preventing Statistics Increment and Automation Execution feature.

What Does This Feature Do?

This feature helps identify and reduce the impact of bots interacting with your emails. When a bot is detected opening or clicking an email, the following actions will occur:

  1. Preventing Statistics Increment: The email’s open or click count will not increase, ensuring that your engagement metrics only reflect genuine user actions.

  2. Preventing Automation Execution: Any automation actions triggered by email opens or clicks will be halted if a bot is detected, ensuring your automated workflows are only activated by real interactions.

How to Enable/Disable the Bot Detection Prevention Settings

By default, the Bot Detection Preventing Statistics Increment and Automation Execution feature is disabled.

To enable or disable it:

  1. Navigate to SettingsBusiness Profile.

  2. Under the General Section, you will find the option to enable or disable these settings by checking or unchecking the box.

This feature allows you to ensure that your metrics and automated workflows remain accurate and unaffected by bot activity.

Note: This feature is exclusively available for users of the LC Email System and Mailgun.
